How PGSExtract handles your data. We keep what we collect to a minimum.
Your video never leaves your device
Your MKV file is read in your browser. We never upload or store it. For image (PGS) subtitles, only the small extracted subtitle stream is sent for OCR; for text subtitles, nothing is uploaded at all — they are extracted entirely in your browser.
What we collect
Your account email and authentication tokens; the subtitle streams you submit for OCR and the SRT output they produce; billing records for credit purchases (payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record); and basic operational logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
To convert your subtitles, operate your account, process payments, and keep the service reliable and secure. We do not sell your data.
Retention
Submitted subtitle input is deleted as soon as a job finishes (and within 24 hours at the latest). Your SRT output is kept for your chosen retention window — 30 days by default, adjustable up to 365 days, or deleted immediately. You can delete outputs and your account at any time from your settings.
